Berlingen is one of the smaller villages at the Untersee. If you take a closer look, however, you notice that it is an intact structure with a complete infrastructure. Berlingen has managed to preserve its lovely and historically valuable village look. Eschenz is in close vicinity to Stein am Rhein and benefits from its favored location at the Lake Constance (Untersee). Already the Celts and Romans chose the geographically and geologically ideal location with the island Werd as their preferred Rhine passage. In the early first century a.D., the Romans built Tasgetium, an important strongpoint with a wooden bridge crossing over to the island Werd and to the other lake shore/Rhine bank. |

Frauenfeld is a lively small town with approximately 22,000 residents. Surrounded by a lovely landscape, it is situated at the river banks of the Murg, close to the river Thur. The city was founded by the Kyburg dynasty.
