Dear hikers

The Thurgau Hiking Trail Association is responsible for the extensive marking work which is necessary to maintain and constantly adapt the hiking trail network. Numerous employees control the routes every year, report damages and suggest improvements. The association also offers its employees guided tours throughout the year. Experienced hiking guides lead the groups on carefully selected routes and therefore guarantee wonderful and carefree hikes with enjoyable company.

The Thurgau is an ideal hiking region with a diversified landscape: sunny meadows and fields, shadowy forests, the hilly «fir cone country» of the Hinterthurgau and the lovely banks of Lake Constance, homey timber framed houses, burly fortresses and new settlements. The whole cantonal area is developed with 1'000 kilometers of hiking trails.

As a member of the Thurgau Hiking Trail Association, you and your relatives enjoy different advantages: you receive a detailed program for each guided tour that also offers information for individual hikes. The program of Swiss Hiking Trails listing all guided tours in Switzerland is sent to you annually. The annual fee also includes the magazine WANDERLAND with many hiking propositions and reports. You benefit from hiking literature and maps at «Swiss Hiking Trails» at reduced prices.
